The worst service that could cost almost thousands of ZAR in funding

Last week on the 23rd of February 2024 after being notified by a former donor of the NPO I run that they wanted to give the organisation some funding, I contacted FNB since because of no funding our account was closed to SPECIFICALLY ask if it would be possible for the same account number to be reinstated/ reactivated and what was needed on our side to do for this to happen if it could. I also stated SPECIFICALLY that this is urgent as the financial year end for the donor is end February and this should all have been finalised by the last day of February, I was given assurance that once we have paid the amount that was outstanding on the account for bank charges that we will receive a settlement letter which we would then have to take to the branch for the reinstatement of the account. The letter was sent on Monday and I went to the branch as advised and upon arriving there I was told once and account was closed it could not be opened ( a disparity) I then came back and decided to call in where I was advised to send through a resolution which I did and still followed up with a call to see if anything was outstanding and was told that they all documents needed. I kept on specifying that this is urgent needed to be finalised by the last of the month and till date this matter has not been resolved and this morning I am required to send through minutes of a meeting that I cannot hold immediately because the board has their day jobs. I am finding this to be very frustrating as we are on the verge if we have not already losing hundreds of thousands of ZAR in funding. I have now sent them the mandate signed in 2020 as nothing has changed from our side everything remains the same. If I was told this would take this long I would have opened a new business account to meet up with the donor's timeline of having to send this money to us. This matter is urgent and if this matter is not resolved today and as a result of this we end up losing the finding we may want to take legal action to wards FNB because this is a loss caused by them.
