The worst customer experience I've had has been with FNB Connect

I've never experienced such a lack of caring from a company as I have with FNB Connect. I'm usually quite understanding when a company makes a mistake - nothing is perfect - but my experience with FNB Connect has been so consistently bad, and so little has been done to rectify it, that I feel there must be something very wrong with the company.

The latest in the agonising saga that has been my interaction with FNB is that they cancelled my number when they were supposed to cancel my contract. Since I'd ported from Vodacom (who's customer service appears stellar by comparison), I had to go back to them, get a new simcard and request my old number back. I decided to give FNB another chance and requested to be ported back to FNB Connect. I'm still waiting, over 50 hours later. When one calls my number it apparently 'does not exist'.

I've repeatedly been told someone would call me back within 72 hours after I cancelled my contract and on many other occassions since, because I've made a few complaints to agents, and I'm still wating over 3 weeks later. There seems to be zero accountabilty. I've already lost most, if not all, of the money that I wanted to save by switching to FNB - I was sold on a contract that I believe was poorly (if not misleadingly) explained, had to pay a cancellation fee, and lost all of my data and airtime that was on my simcard when my number was canceled. I'm an extremely unhappy customer.

Dear Daffnie,

Thanks for the reply. My number still "does not exist" when you call it so it, stuck between Vodacom and FNB. It's stressful to be in limbo like this.

Regards,

Jonathan
