The worst banking service ever experienced
The worst service I have ever received from a Bank in years. Regret moving my accounts to FNB. Your card expires it seems every 3 years. If they do not deliver your card before your old one expires your will have endless problems accessing your accounts with an expired card. My cheque card was delivered just in time but nowhere are you informed that you need to activate the card to be able to use the new card, you needs to call FNB and get transferred a few times before you get told the correct information to activate the card. My credit card expired end of June, its 18 Sep and I still do not have a new credit card. Calling weekly and being told the courier company will call me and the card will be delivered in 3 - 4 days and after almost 3 months, I'm still waiting. With an expired card you cannot even access funds in the account. Went to the branch to get assistance and the branch also put me on the phone to HQ because they cannot assist. i cancelled the delivery on my card and told them to just take it to the branch and I would collect the card myself from the branch but it was not even sent to the branch as requested. Then find out it was taken back to the depot. Last week I called to cancel the card and go elsewhere and was told that there is a process and a mail will need to be sent to that department and then they will call me. No calls. I have spent if added up hours on the phone with FNB consultants, being transferred from department to department and then other people and then going back into the loop to do the whole authentication process, 4 times in one call. Then request to speak to a manager because it's absolutely ridiculous and was put on hold for 15 minutes and then told the manager is not available currently and they will call me back. Still don't have a new card, can't cancel the card, but still get charged for the card. This is absolutely the worst service and is shocking that a bank with such a reputation and slogan of how can we help you - doesn't even know how to assist their customers. This could happen to anyone, choose your bank wisely; FNB honestly has given me the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life.
