The service provided by the FNB funeral plan division is appalling. 8 days later, and no claim payout or progress has been provided. Their payout turn around time is meant to be 24hours!

The service I received from the FNB funeral plan is appalling and frustrating. The plan documents clearly state that claims are paid out within 24 hours of all required documents being submitted. It has been 8 days since I submitted my claim and everyday I’m told the claim is in assessment and an FNB representative will contact me to provide progress. 8 days later, I have received no claim payout or explanation of the reason for the delay. I have been paying for my FNB funeral plan every month for the past 8 years and this is my first time claiming. In addition to dealing with the loss of a loved one, I find myself having to fight daily for a claim to be paid or progress to be provided. Surely this is not the service I signed up for.
