The most user-unfriendly bank out there

Yesterday my cell phone was repaired and the mainboard replaced. Since then I have not been receiving messages on my phone to authorise transactions for my business via your app. I contacted Online Banking to resolve the problem, and the consultant advised she would have to ask me a few questions. All fine so far, until the questions came up. One of them related to a relationship that ended 12 years ago, the other to a company I was associated with (same relationship) that I left 12 years ago - which if you check the company records will be patently clear. I explained the situation to the consultant, who then entered 'false' to the questions.

She then proceeded to inform me that I had answered the questions incorrectly and would have to go into a branch to resolve the problem.

Come on FNB - could you be any less user-friendly if you tried really hard?! You rely on outdated information in your verification checks, and make it as difficult as possible to transact using your services. I need to transact NOW and I do not have time to go into the branch to sort out problem created by your systems.

I have over the past years changed my personal banking, investment banking and credit cards to other banks. The only one I kept was my business account - that is about to go elsewhere too.

Reviewer Update
Thank you Naomi. However having been contacted by Robyn, if I could, I would change my previous rating to -5. To be told that "the questions are generated by TransUnion and it is very likely that their information could be decades old and we can't do anything about that" has convinced me once and for all that it is time to move banks. If this is the case, how, seriously, can FNB consider TransUnion's information to be credible enough to use for customer verification?! Although there have been several instances where I have needed to verify who I am telephonically with other financial institutions, I have never experienced anything as concerning as this.
