The lying Bank
The world is full of ****s — we expect that. Then come the businesses who lie to their customers — disappointing, but not surprising. So naturally, we turn to the so-called blue-chip institutions, those we believe are built on ethics and integrity. But what happens when even they start lying?
That’s the situation I find myself in with FNB. I’ve repeatedly requested that they fix their App so that I can list my property — a simple function that still doesn’t work. Instead of acknowledging and resolving the issue, FNB insists that “everything is fine,” repeatedly asking me to “try again” and “send proof,” which I’ve done numerous times.
This isn’t even new. The exact same thing happened last year — and back then, they eventually listed my property manually because their App was clearly defective. One would assume that a full year is sufficient to correct a system fault, but apparently not.
After lodging yet another complaint, the representative assigned to the matter has gone silent — a fami**** ending to most FNB complaints, it seems. Perhaps what FNB truly needs isn’t another “innovation lab,” but an ethics department — one that can restore the basic honesty we once expected from a bank that claims to “help.”
Still no word from The Lying Bank. I imagine my complaint sitting in a folder titled “Ignore until customer gives up.” So far, they’re doing a stellar job.

The Lying Bank called today! To say… absolutely nothing new. They’re “looking into it.” Maybe they’re looking into it the same way I’m “looking into buying a private island.”

Thank you FNB for eventually uploading the pictures, if you did this initially when i requested you to do such , there would be no need for this long thread. I here close this public case

Correct — we call them “F” “N” “B.” Now put those letters together, folks… that’s right: FNB. A bank so innovative, they still can’t get their own app to perform the very functions it proudly advertises. Bravo. 👏

The FNB Method:
Claim everything works fine
Ignore customer proof it doesn't
Issue reference number (for decoration purposes only)
Excuses, more excuses , confusion, more confusion ,silence, more silence
Impressive how a bank can't fix their own app in 365 days but can manufacture excuses in under 24 hours. That's the real innovation here.
Maybe rename the "innovation lab" to the "eventually we'll get around to it lab"? More accurate branding.
FNB: Fixing Nothing and not Bothered.
