The incompetency and indifference of FNB to assign the correct identity to the correct client profile borders on *****
I switched to FNB from another bank, as this transition was advertised as a simple process, it has not proven to be the case. In my attempt to obtain a credit card I have been informed that I do not qualify for reasons of affordability (this is highly unlikely as at my previous bank I was frequently offered higher limits on my card). When I queried this issue of “affordability” with FNB it was made apparent that my current profile has someone else’s details on it. I then made this known to the bank and I was informed that the complaint had been logged and I would receive a call to rectify the matter. It has been over a week since that call.
GETTING THE IDENTITY OF A CLIENT WRONG IS A BIG DEAL IN THE BANKING SECTOR, YET FNB IS APATHETIC TO THIS ISSUE AND TO ANY INCONVENIENCE THAT IT CAUSES THEIR CLIENTS.
