The FNB ATM that takes your cash deposit and runs!

On 5 August 2024, I went to deposit more than R4000 cash at an offsite FNB ATM. After taking all corrective measures, including calling the bank while still at the atm and being assured that the issue would be resolved within 48 hours and I was free to walk away from the atm which gave me my card back and a slip, I have been left stranded by my bank more than 48 hours later. I was unfortunately reminded about the dangers of sticking to a bank that doesn’t value me as a customer. I hardly have negative things to say about my bank but I’m just disgusted at the bank that can do this to a long standing customer. Calling the bank has not worked, going to a branch to submit my claim has not worked either. More than 48 hours later, nothing. My plans for this cash have been ruined and the bank has given me clueless advice from its consultants. Horrible. Beware, the next time you decide to deposit cash at an FNB ATM.
