Thanks for nothing!
On Wednesday the 7th of March, just after lunch, I went into my FNB banking app to check my accounts. I noticed two ********** transactions had taken place on my credit card and were still pending. I immediately got in touch with the FNB ***** department who suggested the card be immediately cancelled and the transactions would be investigated. I then made it perfectly clear to the lady on the phone that I would need my replacement card as a matter of urgency, by Friday the 9th March as I was be travelling overseas for 10 days from the 11th. She said she would prioritise and me my new card urgently. Well guess what, she obviously didn't bother. I called FNB yesterday (Thursday the 8th) to check the progress of the card only to be told the card had been printed but had not been handed over to the courier for delivery and would only be done so on Friday meaning delivery to me and where I live would only take place next week when i'm overseas which is of no use to me whatsoever. Thank you FNB for the wonderful and speedy service, for following up and making sure I had my card in time for my holiday, for going the extra mile, for being a bank I'm proud to be a part of. Don't make me laugh! This is a third world bank operating in a third world country providing third world service. All their "clients" are to them are sheep who pay their salaries. Well done!
A friend of mine from the UK living in South Africa had his card cloned at an ATM. After cancelling his card, Barclays UK had his new card delivered to him in South Africa in four working days. They provided the service their client needed. FNB can't even get a card to their client in two and half days in the same damn country. Utterly useless bank employing utterly useless staff with a complete lack of customer service training.
