Terrible service FNB Business helpline
FNB Business claim to be for small SMMEs and growth - I have a monthly debit order from DROPBOX (a cloud server) and WIX ( a website provider) - these are small amounts ~ USD 10 to 15 (Or R200 to R400) that comes as a debit order against my business account and has done so for the last 5 years - FNB unilaterally blocked these transactions in March/April WITHOUT informing me - I got reminders from service providers but on FNB app, my card was active, there was sufficient funds all seemed fine. I Called the helpline - it took 9 people before I spoke to number 10 who was helpful and assisted me - she told me my card was deactivated and hence the transactions did not come through - I asked why it was deactivated, and why it was still showing as active on FNB App, she could not answer but kindly reactivated the card and transactions went through - I did ask though for it to be escalated so I know why it happened - Number 12 from FNB< Mr Kendall September called me as a 'senior manager " at FNB - he refused initially to identify himself to me - but later gave his 1st name - he then went on to validate lolly details and I gave him 3 questiosn (1) Why did you block these transactions (2) Why did young inform me as business as to this action (3) How can I avoid this happening again - after 45 minutes he came back saying he has now answer and he "will try" to escalate it!!! As and SMME my website (Wix) and my Data (DROPBOX) is the essence fo my survival - FNB and Mr September has no idea how they impact negatively on SMMES
