Terrible service
Terrible service! I co-signed so that my sister could qualify to buy herself a home. Her salary has been cut a few times this year as a result there were 3 months during this year where she was late with payments. FNB has also been inconsistent with taking the amount on the agreed dates. As a result she has transferred the amount to FNB when this happened.
I accept that this reflects on my credit rating, I am trying to get a flat and that showed. My sister brought the account to balance last month or early this month.
My grief is with getting through to someone from the accounts department just to get to get proof that the account is up to date as confirmed by the second FNB agent I was transferred to. I spoke to two people, being on hold for long periods only to be transferred to another who says another department can give the proof, until I was on a dead line to the third person with silence and no assistance.
Last time I ever had an issue to resolve at the Branch I spent over an hour just to get to someone who could not help me set my online and cellphone account. So how in the world am I to get service and secure a place for me to stay next month when FNB has such terrible service online and in the branch? I don't know how much airtime I spent on the line on hold and doing verification, being transferred and still not getting what I needed. I can't regret helping my sister secure a roof over a head but I hate how being poor/affording private banking can mean being subjected to FNB's distressing service.
