Terrible customer care even as private client

I had missed a payment with FNB due to unforeseen circumstances. A consultant from FNB contacted me - and we came to a payment agreement. I asked multiple times if I need to make manual payment, or if this would be automated. I was told it had to be a manual transfer on my part - and was assured I would not be debited.

The moment my salary cleared I transferred funds. The same day FNB took the full settlement amount in addition, contrary to the agreement I had made with them.

I got the transaction notification after midnight and IMMEDIATELY mailed my private banker with regard to this. It took me following up with them 4 days later after not seeing money back in my account to get any feedback, and took several more mails - & eventually a twitter posting to get feedback from Card division a week later via my banker

Card division then reversed my payment - not their much larger debit, without speaking to me ever.

This appears to be ********** since this contradicts the original agreement. and its disgusting that to this point nobody has attempted to speak to / mail me to resolve this issue.

FNB... for private banking fees this treatment is nothing short of disgusting!
