Switching to Fnb a nightmare

I switched over to fnb at the beginning of January. As advertised fnb promises to switch debit orders over hassle free. This switch has been anything but hassle free. At my first encounter I was informed that it will take 2 weeks for my debit orders to be switched. By the end of January it still did not transpire and i had to keep my old bank account active, and transfer my salary to prevent the debit order rejection. Yesterday, day before next salary date, I visited the sea point branch only to be told that they will resubmit my debit order switch request. The result is that one of my debit orders already r/d'd. I frantically transferred my funds to the old bank account which takes 2 whole days to reflect. Im not sure whether this will be in time for the bulk of my debit orders to run which includes my home instalment. I want Fnb to reimburse me for my debit ordered rejection charges. Very poor service. And I want an explanation as to why my request was not honoured.
