switching banks not as quick and easy

This isn't a complaint, just an observation
I've been meaning to switch banks for a while now. and the end of last month I got the ball rolling.

on the website FNB says its so quick and easy. they will transfer all my debit orders on my behalf, but it would never be that easy. very early on I was notified to change some of my debit orders myself. and for one of those I needed a letter from the bank stating that this in in fact my account. (BTW. the 1st letter is free, the ones after that you have to pay for). one would think that working at the bank, with said letter at hand, that could have been done for me.

For something that was supposed to be this quick and easy, I've had to make a lot of calls and go the bank a few times.

Some advice for potential switchers. Just switch your own debit orders. And rather go to the bank to open the account .

Thanks FNB. Looking forward to banking with you.
