Switch to FNB in under 10 minutes - NOT!

Requested call back for new business account on 10 February.
Received call back for new business account on 11 February.
Was told to expect e-mail with documents to complete, that I must return.
Received virtual documents on 13 February.
Completed and submitted documents on 13 February.
Was told once submitted and received, I would receive call for final validation.
Received acknowledgement of receipt of documents e-mail on 13 February.
I called business desk to check on status of account on 17 or 18 February & was told that they are knocking off, but a request to call me and validate the account would be submitted. (Ref. No: Rm***
Today, February 19th, at 15:00 (knocking off time again), I have not had the call.
Kindly explain how 10 minutes turns into 8 days to open the account. Obviously calling the business desk does nothing to expedite anything.
My business account number is listed on my online profile, but useless since the account has not been validated and cannot be used.
Is THIS SLOW SERVICE because I am already a FNB customer and there is no urgency in \coaxing me away"from another bank?
"""
