Student loans
My husband and I visited our fnb branch on numerous occasions to apply for a student loan. Our daughter starr her studies in January 2018. To our shock we have to find out that FNB's max amount for a student loan is R80 000. We tried everything. To apply seperately, together or what ever possible way. They just rep**** by saying that it is not based on affordability but company policy. I don't understand why 2 other financial institutions are willing and able to assist us with the full R140 000 but fnb stick to their so xalled rule. Where can you study with all costs included for only R80 000 .
Now these banks willing to help us does have one condition, we have to move our wholr profiles over to them. This will include 2 platinum cheque accounts, 2 credit cards, a hone loan, a personal loan, a vehicle finance account, 2 x 32 day savings accounts and a joined savings account. We both are fnb clients for more than 30 years now. Is this the way our paths are going to split. I am so disappointed.
Wish there was another way.
Good day Ms. Frederi
