Student Loan - 6 month grace period to student

Hi. Firstly I would like to say I have been a FNB client for more than 18 years.... Means nothing to FNB I am so tired of trying to phone STUDENT LOANS... 3 years and counting,,, and all the **** I have had to deal with. The people on the other side of the line don't care /or won't try to understand/ or can't understand what you are asking.

I am a single parent and was not so fortunate to get NSFAS Money for my child to study a 3 year degree. From the get go I was told --- you lend the 1st year's money (Once they get conformation from institute Tukkies every year)you only pay interest for the 12 months ----- then you lend for year 2 and year 3. You only pay interest on the loan. At the end of Year 3 you will then pay interest and capital. I had to fight every year for 3 years to get the correct interest rate (much less when it is a student loan) and by the way countless money's in the form of me having to phone to sort out the **** and make sure it stays a student loan. I would send 25 + emails over 3 years to them sorting this nonsens out. So mo sympathy or empathy from any FNB STAFF. They only take your money and that's it.

Now my biggest question to them has been that on the question and answer sheet which is on the FNB WEBSITE it tells you on page 2 about the """ 6 month grace period """ you get before paying off the student loan if the student does not have work yet. And belief me that with a 3 year degree, not easy getting that first job ... So I asked them in an email (because as usual you can't speak to anyone that knows anything.) about the 6 month grace period.. And ofcourse NO one knows anything about this and that it was either before I lent money or after I lent money ... THE GRACE PERIOD NO LONGER EXISTS. So they say ???? BUT STANDARD BANK AND ABSA BANK CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE THIS GRACE PERIOD IN PLACE.. TO HELP THE STUDENT.

Will someone please explain this to me. I can not pay this loan with interest and capital at the moment. I want an investigation done on why I cannot get the 6 month grace period, which clearly says so on your student application on the FNB website. Please explain this to me.
