Student account but bank charges are ridiculous

My son has a fluid savings account with FNB. The charges on this account are crazy. How can a student account pay R137 for value added services and this excludes charge for any other transaction. The bank charges comes to about R350 for a student fluid account. That's not even what I pay for my account which I have with another bank and I'm employed. My son has been to the bank to complain about the bank charges but there seems to be no change. I am not willing to fork out almost R350 on a child's bank account. Surely this account should have a fixed monthly service fee not these different fees which ends up adding up to R350.
