Strange behaviour from FNB business banking

I want to change our family trust bank account from Standard bank to FNB. A gentleman from the business desk did phone me but he wanted information I did not have with me. So I ask him to email me so I can reply with the information. He absolutely refused to do that, and said we can only do it over the phone. I find it absolutely unacceptable and bizarre.
