STILL waiting FNB.
So this is now another complaint I will log against FNB.
https://www.hellopeter.com/first-national-bank/reviews/come-on-fnb- **********
I made a simple request on the below prior complaint . Times are tough, we are all doing what we can right now.
When I last spoke to your representative on the 10th whom seemed to be very happy to help, I explained that I required feedback on this situation.
I have sent mails, asked for updates on my other compliant....nothing.....not a word from you FNB!!!!!!
I specifically asked that I get a confirmation mail from my discussion with your rep on the 10th so I had a direct point of contact. Nothing. No mail, no contact back. Nothing.

Good day Joyce.
I thank you for trying to contact me.
Currently I am in meetings and I am not able to answer my cell.
All I require is that R1500 of the last debit is refunded for this month. I have repairs on my vehicle which I need to tend to and without these repairs my car will be immobile.
From the end of this month you can revert back to the usual debit of R2500 going forward.
I can provide slips and substantiating evidence to support the issues with my car should this be required.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

15 Apr 2019, 09:11Good day Tshepo Mosolotsane.
I thank you for the below.
And the reason why I thank you, is that the below response from FNB has now quantified my decision to leave FNB for good.
You see Tshepo, I am still working very hard to get back to a level playing field financially after being unemployed for 2/3rd's of 2018. I could have taken many other decisions to negotiate lesser amounts of payments legally which would have left FNB having to make less back on interest and on the outstanding capital amount - money makes money after all right?
I could also have gone to another bank and paid what I felt I could pay leaving FNB with no option but to accept that.
I could also have not paid all together at all.
No, I decided to stay with FNB. I decided to break my back to try and do my best with what I have being a single father and sole bread winner.
I decided to do the right thing.
Unfortunately what I did not count on, is needing to effect major repairs on my vehicle - see attached, image A.
You will note the critical points of mechanical repairs as per my spread sheet, you will note that these tie in with amounts charged to my FNB cheque account - go look. Please. I have a point to make with this.........you see, what you dont know is that in March I emailed FNB and this very same department notifying you of issues and asked that someone contact me back. You never did.
So I had a choice to make.
I could either ask FNB for assistance and understanding in a tough time so that I could continue to feed my family, get to work so I may continue working and make some payments at least whilst I ensure that my vehicle is roadworthy, safe for my family to travel in and also reliable so I may continue working.
Or, I could continue to pay FNB, not have a job and not have a means of transport.
Which is the lesser of two evils? I still have more repairs required by the way, so I still have some way to go but I am doing what I can bit by bit.
I would now like to point your attention to image B. on the attachment. You will note that according to that information which is taken from your website and is a screenshot of the account in question. It states that my monthly payment expected is actually only R426.12?
Now I am sure we dont need to go and discuss basic mathematics and which is the lesser vs. greater amount hey?
It also states on this screenshot which is taken from your website and from the account in question that I am not in arrears any longer?
So FNB........."how can we help you?"...........what a slogan, what a joke.
All I asked was just for assistance and understanding given unforeseen circumstances so that I could continue to feed my young son, fix my car so that I could continue to work and have a reliable and safe means of transport whilst still making a lesser contribution for a SHORT period of time. Instead FNB as a banking institution decided I should not try and at least have a reliable car to get to work and back that is safe for my son to be in, not be able to feed him either and not care at all.
So FNB, thank you. Thank you for showing me that I should rather take the road you wouldnt want me to.
Today at lunchtime I will be going to Capitec to activate my cheque account, I will be changing my banking details with the finance department at my employer and I will no longer be directly banking with FNB.
Have a fantastic day further.
This will also be going onto Hellopeter and I will be notifying a very well known Journalist contact as well.
Regards.
B H.

15 Apr 2019, 11:40Good day Tshepo Mosolatsane.
Just to show you the timeline of my actions.
Herewith the below:
In case you are unsure, the above mentioned person deals with our salaries department and releases of thereof.
By the time I get back to the office from my visit to Capitec, she would have responded and I would have the details and account information to complete this change - so before COB today, my cheque account with FNB will now be redundant as is the historic relationship I had with FNB prior to my financial hardships.
Did FNB forget about all the motor vehicles I have financed with them and all the other successful business we have done together? Obviously, the answer is yes.
I suggest that FNB forwards me the details for the two accounts I have currently. I will be making payments from Capitec going forward. R250 on the one account and R1500 on my loan account. This then leaves me with an extra R1000 a month to fix my car and better support my family going forward. This can be considered as my formal advisory thereof. The difference would be roughly 17 months to pay the loan versus the suggested 10 months at R2500 a month.
Ill also in fact from what I note, be saving on account pricing and bank fee's with Capitec. I thought paying a premium would see me having access to better service and personalized attention to detail? Oh wait...........I guess I will only get that if I didnt have to deal with daily challenges more and more South Africans are having to deal with hey?
No matter FNB. Ill help myself.
Thanks FNB.
PS: My next email will be a selfie sitting with a Capitec consultant during my lunch break.
Regards.
B H.

15 Apr 2019, 13:39Good day Tshepo Mosolatsane.
I am now back at the office from visiting Capitec as per below image.
I hereby request the account details for the following accounts:
********** 575 ********** ********** 02
With respect to the above accounts, I will now be paying the following amounts per month via direct transfer.
********** 575709 - R250.00
********** 833102 - R1500.00
This email hereby advises that I will no longer require the following account:
********** 6292 - PLEASE CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY.
FNB, it really is sad that this is what it comes to. Essentially, it took Capitec all of 15 minutes to sort me out with an account, online login and any other information I required.
In the interim, I will be gathering any other information from my now defunct FNB account over the next few hours so that I can load them as beneficiaries onto my Capitec account.
I actually cannot remember how long I have been with FNB for? Would be interesting to see in fact. Considering the average bank charges each month, the vehicles I financed, the loans and other accounts etc etc.
In respect of the above amounts I will be paying per month on these accounts.............I could be paying that, or paying nothing at all. I could have been paying more as well - all things considered. But greed is an awful thing FNB.
So now you can have the lesser amount and lose a client in the process. The excess I will have in my pocket now will be used to fill my cupbaords at home and pay off other accounts quicker.
Here is my parting promise: When I am at a point where I require a banking institution which can better handle a larger financial portfolio, FNB will not be one of the banks I consider at all.
Regards.

16 Apr 2019, 15:14Good day Shenayleigh.
Thank you for the below email.
So what I have stated on recorded line and email is obviously not understood or acknowledged.
Please refer back to my emails and telephonic recordings.
Forward me the account details for both accounts so that I may pay the following going forward:
********** 575709 - R250 per month
********** 833102 - R1500 per month.
Please do get your legal department to contact me and take me to court if they dare. I welcome it. I know exactly what the outcome will be and it will be very surprising.
I merely asked for FNB to assist me whilst I recover from being close on destitute in 2018 and totally unable to pay anything versus the position I am in now where i am able to start paying again and pull myself back from the brink of destruction.
As stated before in writing from my personal email.
CLOSE MY CHEQUE ACCOUNT WITH THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNT NUMBER: ********** 6292
If you are unable to adhere to the above requests, then get someone in a position of authority that can.
Clearly FNB is as done with me as I am with FNB.
I will log another complaint with FNB on Hellopeter.com if the above requests are not met.
