Still being charged for a contract that was cancelled almost two months ago

On October 10th at 5:43 I called the FNB connect call center to cancel my FNB connect contract and move over to prepaid. I was told it would be cancelled by the first of December and that I would be on prepaid.

The contract is STILL active and I have been charged for December. I called the call center again and was told that no one escalated the cancellation and that I will now only be cancelled by January first and that I will be contacted in 48 hours by the cancellation department. I am leaving the country in 48 hours and wont be able to answer my phone.

This is unacceptable as, not only must I pay because FNB consultants just choose not to do their jobs but I must also wait another 2 days for an issue I brought up almost two months ago!
