Steve can yo believe that FNB Branch has No Incoming Phone Line!!

My wife left her ID in one of two places in Fourways Mall, but most likely at the FNB branch. I called the FNB on the number listed for the branch on the web ( ********** 000) rather than drive a 50km round trip that will take 2 hours along Cedar Road to ask if the ID is maybe with FNB.

What a frustrating experience!! 1. The voice prompts don't offer an option for a general inquiry 2. The listed number is not for the branch at all. 3. The person who answers tells you that the branch has no facility to take incoming calls and that one will have to visit the branch!!! 4. When I did accept this answer, I was then told that she would put me thru. 5. The FNB person who answered, simply answered "Hello" and I really battled to explain the problem to her. 6. I find it unbelievable that she has to speak to her supervisor and can only advise us in two hours time if they have found the ID. Surely FNB has a lost and found.

My wife is a new FNB account holder and had just opened a new FNB account (my suggestion) and had arranged to transfer everything from another bank. This experience is making her have second thoughts. I have no doubt that both the other banks in that building would have contacted her if she had left her ID with them. Come on Steve, FNB can do a lot better. This is poor and really not what I expect from FNB

Thank You ... FNB did call and my wife got her ID book. Lesson: When a customer leaves their ID in the branch ... please train/instruct consultants to call customer immediately.
