STEER CLEAR OF FNB FOR TFSA UNIT TRUSTS

Any reader of this should take my advice STEER CLEAR OF FNB FOR TFSA UNIT TRUSTS The poorest experience I have had in years (23 in fact since I walked out on Nedbank). For many years I have foolishly supported and referred FNB to friends, but my experience with FNB in the last week, they seriously *****ed my perspective. I tried to withdraw from my TFSA Unit trust. The FNB Investor platform is the only way to get there. They expect uploaded PDF instructions (like Noah used to do to bank). Thursday afternoon I uploaded the paperwork, got a confirmation it was uploaded, then discovered it was "lost" in their tracking queue (it wasn't visible even to support staff when I finally got through). I had to call countless times Thursday and Friday and finally got through, only to be told to email the pdfs. By Monday I see it in tracking with a status of "outstanding correspondence" I called to then hear "we don't accept instructions via email, you must upload online". After a heated conversation, I got my payout late Tuesday. I can't imagine how long I would have waited without all the chasing and prodding. I fully know that unit trusts take market trading time, but I am talking about maladministration of my portfolio due to losing instructions, having poor and slow support and having reference phone numbers in their email to me that are discontinued. More so, I complained, asked for escalation of the complaint and have since heard nothing, now I need to go public and warn others.
