Some store dont accept virtual cards
There is no doubt that the bank attempts to keep up with the latest technology and uses its rewards programme to invoke client behavioral change. The latest change to the ebucks smart spend is understandable as the company wishes to promote the use of a virtual card. Personally, I preferr to do this. Unfortunately, this intention has missed a signficant fact - some merchants and some PoS devices do accept tap or scan to pay functions forcing you to revert to card payments. Is fnb now directing that we only use specific stores that we use their PoS devices?

07 Oct 2023, 02:34Thank you for your response FNB. Unfortunately, your response on this platform was the one and only response received. Frustratingly, the issue still persists and worsens during load shedding when my phone cant open the FNB app. Whilst I have tried to circumvent this, this is not always possible.
