So sad South Africans must battle for service especially with FIRST NATIONAL BANK

My son has been overseas since March 2019, partly due to Covid. His FNB credit card was mangled by an ATM machine in Amsterdam recently and he firstly phoned FNB in Johannesburg for a replacement and then at their instruction sent his request to *** but to no avail. His daughter is in JHB on holiday and returns to Amsterdam on10 March. She is supposed to take his new card to him. He sent his email to FNB on 14 FEBRUARY - almost a month ago.

Is there someone at FNB with the slightest inkling as to how to issue a replacement credit card??????

I am still waiting for your so-called URGENT response to my complaint. From FNB's adverti*****ts I would have thought that customer service from this organisation was slightly better than what South African consumers are dished out normally - but sadly this is not the case. I think I will just cancel my FNB credit card and get cards from Nedbank and Discovery Bank.

In desperation I am on the phone right now with one of FNB's consultants ?? who cannot help me??? Surprise surprise. I was told I must go into an FNB branch. When I went to the branch they told me that my son must send an email to *** which he did ONE MONTH ago. Still no card.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that FNB SUPERVISORS DO NOT TALK TO THE CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE. Well done FNB !!!!
