Sneaky SLOW Lounge charges

I used the FNB Domestic SLOW Lounge and didn't qualify as I usually do, because of an obscure rule (I didn't use the mobile app the month before). For two visits, I got charged a total of R500 without notification outside of the entry on my credit card bill.

I complained to FNB and only got a generic response about the rules. I laid out WHY this was so wrong to me as per below, but they ignored me. - The ebucks rule of logging into the app is stupid - if I find doing my banking on a laptop easier than tapping around on my phone, then that's my business. There is also no way for me to track when I logged in. So I can't even dispute whether I logged in or not. Also, I don't see anything explaining that I had to use the app the preceding month rather than the month I enter the slow lounge. Plus, I've recently changed phones and now (at the time of writing) I can't add beneficiaries on my app, so the app isn't even working properly - The charge is unreasonable for the service - realistically one can grab a drink and a snack and use some wifi, for much more expense than it would be at a restaurant - At the slow lounge reception, when the system verifies the conditions, I should be alerted that I will in fact be charged, and have the option to NOT go into the slow lounge, before the charge is made (it should not be left up to me to understand a series of opaque rules and then take a chance) - I got charged, but I received no notification. If you charge me, you should inform me. I get a notification each time I use my card at a store, yet when FNB is the receiver of the profit, they keep it secret so that I will make the same mistake again. And guess what, I did make the same mistake the second day, because I wasn't informed about the charge when it happened!

FNB should look into the business process and STRONGLY consider changing it, for the reasons I explain above. This is brand damaging stupidity. This happened in August and because I'm super busy I only got around to reporting it on Hello Peter now.
