Smart Device Through FNB

Hi

I bought a Acer through FNB middle of this year, and the Acer started giving me problems. A company called Platinum Warranty collected my Laptop in August, to fix it, and it turned out it was a factory fault on the laptop and they had to get parts for it, I have now, been waiting a month. Gotten different stories from "You will get your laptop next week" to the next one which was "We are still waiting on parts and it'll only be received end of this month" to the last "We're not sure when we will be receiving the parts" . I am paying a substantial amount for this laptop per month, and feel that a month, has now been way too long. I need my laptop for my studies and work, and can't do much without it? I will never suggest or refer anybody to buy an Acer laptop through FNB - Acer being such a well known laptop in SA I fail to understand how these parts are not available here. Iam also further of the opinion that this laptop started with problems early (while it is new) and this will not be the last problem I will have with same - I therefore feel that this laptop should have been replaced with a new one

Hi Daffnie

Thank you, I still haven't gotten news regarding this? At the moment, I'm carrying my 23" work PC up and down for work and studies (I don't really have a choice as I have online video lectures I need to attend) and you can imagine it's quite heavy, hence me needing my laptop ASAP - like I said, it's been a month, and I feel like this laptop is a DUD, seeing that it is giving problems so early on, I can not afford for it to have anymore problems, I therefore feel that this laptop should be replaced with a new one?
