Smart Device Dillemma

I wanted to get a PlayStation 4 for my birthday. I saw a package on the internet for a PS4 with two controllers and FIFA20 for R409.00 per month for 24 months. The pricing was affordable and so I decided to open an FNB account and made a deposit into the account so that it could be deducted monthly.

I placed my order on the FNB website (https://www.fnb.co.za/fnb-connect/catalogue_devices.html#) and did everything and I was advised that I will receive a call back. I missed their calls because my phone was on silent. So I decided to make a call to the call center for some assistance.

I spoke to lady named Mampho Mathe at 15:12 on 11/10/19, where she explained that I have to have the account open for 6 months along with an annual income of R100 000.00 (estimate) and to go look at the T's & C's which I did.

(Here's the link: https://www.fnb.co.za/downloads/fnbconnect/shop/Connect_data_transfer_and_roll_over_FAQs.pdf).

I tried multiple times to check the T's & C's but the message I received was "We have encountered an error. We're sorry. The web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site or an internal error has occured."

We spoke over the phone for a while, she did not sound remotely interested in assisting me., I later got tired of arguing with her and requested to speak to her manager. She placed me on hold for a good 5-10 minutes, upon her return, she told me that her manager is on a call and offered a call back so that her manager to call me back.

I expected a call back on the same day but I did not get it. I do not understand why I couldn't get what I want because the main purpose of sales is to make sales. Dont tell me that I'm to earn an X amount of money in order to get a smart device. If it were a car or house, that would be a different story. But for a smart device??? I've never felt so insulted in my life.

I'm not happy with the service I received from FNB.
