Slower than expected from the bank I trusted

I was contracted by Fnb’s debt collection lawyers for being in arrears with my credit card payments. I made an arrangement with the collection agents Barret & Associates for a settlement amount. I made means to get the amount that was agreed upon as a settlement amount 300k+ and had the payment done within a day or two. This was the 27th of August and to date have not received the documents stating that my account has been settled by Fnb or their agents either. My profile on fnb’s app still shows the amount outstanding for my account. I call barret and associates daily and can never get hold of anyone that will assist me. Fnb card says that it’s handed over and I should call legal. How long is this going to take?
