Slow Lounge Greedy over charge!!
I am utterly disappointed with FNB's slow lounge offering. This used to be a perk for Premier Card holders. This has now changed and it is based on your eBucks level. That is all good and well, but why do you not inform your clients before they enter the slow lounge? Why can the receptionist not check on her system to see if you ''qualify'' to enter the Slow Lounge? I tell you why, they do not want you to leave, they want to charge you R750 for 2 adults and 2 kids. (1,5 year old and a 5 year old girls). When we arrived at Slow Lounge departing from Cape Town to Johannesburg on the 5th of Jan 2021, the receptionist advised that she needs to charge for 1 kid? Ok, sure, that's not to bad, go ahead, we said. She then scanned both our cards and we went in. Not once did she mention 'Peak Time', not once did she mention eBucks levels and that we do not qualify? Not once did she say we will be charged R500 on my account and R250 on my wives account. No No, because then we would have left. Then we would have gone to a Restaurant and had a lovely Lunch for less than R400. It is absolutely shocking and **************** if you ask me. The food and drinks we had does not justify R750! A 5 year old girl can not eat R250 worth of food and drinks. And to do this to a family during Covid lock-downs and reduced salaries is truly unbelievable. All it shows is that you are typical bankers and do not care about your clients! Be sure that I will not ever take my family to a slow lounge again. If you log a complain, they just shrug their shoulders and do not care! All I asked is that R500 be refunded, we will gladly pay for my 5 year old as that was what the receptionist said. But after I received my call (***) I was basically told, sorry, that will not happen! I do hope a senior manager or client relationship manager listens to my call. Very disappointed and no more perks for FNB clients, might as well change to Capitec. I see they are ranked higher than FNB anyway.
