Slow Lounge Con/benefit
I am currently in the process of disputing charges for 2 visits to the slow lounge, each visit was charged at R250. I have a platinum account with FNB and according to the team of bankers to access the slow lounge for free you need to make specific transactions. This is fair... well a higher banking fee for the account and then the need to spend a specific amount... That aside if you visit the lounge the expectation is you should know if you met the criteria and if you will or won't be charged. That seems like there is an intent to always charge a client either by means of the transaction cost to qualify or by not notifying them that they will be charged. This seems like a very ********* practice and upon questioning the team of bankers and seeing their defense I can see it is just that. A very underhanded method to ensure that FNB profits from a so called benefit. I would prefer if I was informed if I did not meet the criteria and have the option to either pay for the visit or walk away, that would be a fair system.
