Slow lounge

My husband and I each have a platinum card. We are at Cape Town international , early for our flight wanting to check into the SLOW lounge and we have our daughter (24years ) with us and the receptionist ‘snottily ‘ tells us “sorry this is peak season , you aren’t allowed a guest”, embarrassing our daughter and offering no alternative, in front of other guests. REALLY !! We spend a good amount of money with you monthly , which is settled at the end of each month . Your company has hounded my husband to move his banking account from his current bank, where he has a private banker, to yourselves. AFTER THIS FNB , no way. This has left a sour taste in his mouth, making him not want to move to you (and he has considered it). He is now considering closing the account he does have with you and just sticking with his current bank. Shame on your receptionist who represents your bank as well as your partners.

Reviewer Update
Good evening Naomi Thank you for your call. Someone from premier banking did come back to me and basically waffled on, saying much about nothing. I eventually lost concentration, told him not to bother to come back to me but I did highlight to him that the receptionist at the SLOW lounge was not FNB staff; however she represented the company and the brand FNB and should be taken to task with the manner in which she handled the situation. I am busy checking my FNB card statement and I see I was charged R250 x4 for SLOW lounge access at Lanseria, when we left JHB for Cape Town. Furthermore, what makes this even more frustrating is that my husband received an sms inviting him to visit the new slow lounge at Lanseria. I asked the receptionists twice when we arrived at the lounge if we would be charged and we were advised no. Not meaning to be ungrateful, but I am sure something I may have gotten at the Total garage would have been far more enjoyable and fresh, as my daughter’s boyfriend had an upset stomach after eating a wrap from the lounge. My husband has officially decided tonight to make the transition AWAY from FNB as everyone seems to push the buck onto somebody else and as forward thinking as FNB is, they seem to have lost the personal touch.
