Slow and silent
I had my account drained by a *********, and immediately phoned FNB to cancel my card. That done, a ***** case was logged, and FNB promised to get back to me withing 7 to 14 days. After 7 days, having heard nothing, I phoned, and they said no, 10 to 14 days. After 15 days and still not hearing anything, I called again, only to be told that I'd have to wait yet another week. I pay FNB to keep my money safe, which they failed to do. However, the lack of communication on their side proved stressful and frustrating for me. Phoning to follow up cost a lot of airtime, which I could barely afford on account of having my money ******. The replacement card cost R100 (again, extremely costly given the circumstances) , which I felt was an unfair cost, since the breach in security was not my fault, and I'd had my card neither lost nor ******. After three weeks of nothing (significantly longer than the 7 to 14 days), I received an sms to say that they acknowledged my claim. I still have no idea what the outcome will be, or if this will even be resolved.
Good Day
