Short term insurance

On Friday 12 February 2021 a consultant from FNB Short term insurance phoned me regarding building insurance for my newly bought house. I explained to her that there is a thatched roof attached to the house, whereafter she informed me that it is no problem,it will be covered. According to her she took this up with their underwriters and they confirmed that I will be insured without the need of a lightning conductor. When I received the policy schedule however, in included an endor*****t stating that they will not consider a claim if no SABS approved lightning conductor is installed. I have phoned them, spoke to Chantel, to rectify the situation, but she disconnected the call, as she could not find the policy schedule on her side, even after I sent the policy schedule back to them, where it originally originated from... In the meantime I already cancelled my current insurer, because I was under the impression that the policy with FNB would be sufficient. Extremely poor service!!!
