Shocking Service from FNB Paypal link
It is hard to describe how bad the FNB Paypal link service is. I have been trying, now, to link my Paypal account to my Standard Bank account via Paypal, as both services advertise, for nearly a month. The website is appallingly designed, really incomprehensible, the information about what to do is incomplete and incorrect, and the only way to get the correct information is to call the help number, where one is on hold for anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour before service. I do not blame the women at the call centre - they do their best - but this really is some kind of Kafkaesque nightmare. I have spent about six hours on this already - it's crazy! I'm so glad I bank at Standard and not FNB

23 Jul 2021, 12:20I asked to be escalated to a manager last time I called. I was told he was "in a meeting" and left my number. I never heard back from him. I understand that this service is complicated by FICA requirements and dealing with Paypal, but if you are going to advertise a service you have to deliver it. The consultants I have spoken to at the call centre, all of whom are very nice, have all acknowledged that everyone has problems, and that the information and interface is unclear. Please sort it out, or stop offering a service you are unable to deliver.
