Shocking Service

Opened a global account in September, wanted to use it for the first time in November when the rand was strong at R13.40 to buy dollars. Couldnt acsess my global account from my online banking. Phoned Forex department to help me open the account, they asked me to send them an email, which I did, with the request and will be rectified within 1 day. It is now 1 month later and still not opened. The rand made a turn at R14.56, wanted to buy R100 000 worth of dollars. Now nobody at FNB wants to take responsibility for this loss!!!! Laid 3 complaints with Customer services, not once have they contacted me. Spoken to the Forex manager, he keeps on saying the fault is on my side as I never gave them an instruction to transfer money. Seems like to show him the mail in black and white is still not prove enough!!!!! So still waiting for them to wake up!!!!

Reviewer Update

Hi Amukelani

I have now lost patience with this. How many times have I lodged a complaint and no response from FNB. I can almost guarentee that I wont get any results from your request as well. As you can see I even spoke to Forex manger Ezekiel Motsepe, only for him to tell me I should of send them a mail with the request after I showed him proof that I did. There has now been mails going forwards and backwards since the 9th of November till today. I still dont have any reason or result for FNB's negligence nor has my Global account been opened. Nobody at FNB gives a damn that I lost money through this whole ordeal. I have asked to close all my accounts at FNB because of this but even that doesnt get any response. I will now lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman to see if i get any results!!!!
