Shocking decline in service and very suspicious identification protocols.

I received a notification to say that my FNB GuardMe Service was terminated as per my request. I never requested this. I went onto the secure chat, which is usually good but ended up waiting over an hour for someone to assist me. The first person to assist responded to a very old query. Then a bot appeared and it was incredibly difficult to reach another human being. This used to be such a great service but I was shocked by how sloppy and *********** it has become. One week later I received a call from FNB asking me to give them permission to access my banking profile in order to give me feedback on my query. The customer service person was unable to provide a valid reason as to why he needed to gain access to my banking profile to give me feedback on my support query. He said it was to make sure he was speaking to the right person. To me this is a serious security concern. Simple feedback on a query should never mean handing over access to my online banking profile. Either the is was a **** or FNB has some very suspect protocols in place. I am still not sure what the issue was with GuardMe but I will be switching to Discovery bank for my primary banking as I no longer trust FNB. If you are an FNB client please be aware of changes to services and protocols that are not in your best interest, leaving your account at risk, with unresolved issues and problematic security protocols.
