Share investor account

After opening a share investor account I was advised of a monthly fee which needs to be paid which is fine. I was then advised there is no brokers fees involved I can buy what ever shares I want and the share price amount listed on the JSE. I was buying share every month or 2 so that I can build a profile not knowing FNB is charging me R100 every time I buy shares which was not told to me. So if a 1 share cost 1cent you will need R101c in order to buy 1 share. I looked up the terms and Conditions which advised noughting of the above what so ever. So now I'm paying a month fee and I need to pay R100 extra everytime I buy shares? Is this the way FNB is making money because it seems to be ***** to me with hidden cost involved. This is disappointing from a bank that I have been using for years.
