Settlement Dispute

I am typing this message to everyone out there that might have a personal loan with FNB. I am very happy with the service I received from FNB for the last 10 years. During a bad time in my life I was unable to repay the loan, so the moment I got on my feet I contacted FNB department and asked for a settlement amount.

They rep**** with an amount that i payed in full. The entire amount was initially removed from my account but a few days latter, the difference between the settlement amount that i payed and the outstanding amount before the settlement was once again added to my account and they have been deducting the monthly instalment for 6 months now.

I am not sure what the law is regarding this matter, but as far as I know if FNB agreed on the settlement amount and it was payed, they are not allowed to still continue taking the full outstanding amount after a settlement on paper from the bank was received agreed upon and payed.

Is this legal to do?
