Service gone down the drain

My partner deposited R80 000 cash cheque into my personal account at OR International FNB branch. We were charged R8000 for instant clearance. It was in Thursday before 14:00. We were told it takes few hours to clear. It's now Saterday night 40 odd hours later and it hasn't cleared. Why would a corporate entity lie to a client? This was after we had had a pathetic service for three days running trying to cash the same cheque. FNB service is just pathetic for lack of a better word. Honesty is key in business dealings, the contrary is a no no

1 CommentFNB complaints department came ack to us in the person of Mrs Antoniette Van Dyk. In her quest to investigate, she realized they had deposited our cheque into some business account elsewhere. These she conceded yesterday, in the morning. We are told they are hard at work to correct the mishap. Whilst we appreciate this good endeavour, we believe our matter will be resolved before the close of business week today. We still maintain our trust in this credible institution.
