Service Failure and Misleading of clients by FNB

On the 18 of March I posted a review of FNB on hellopeter regarding my complaint to FNB after I had been mislead by FNB. My complaint being: In December 2024 I was advised by one of FNB’s branch managers at an FNB branch; that if I switched my salary to FNB, FNB would credit my account with R6000 in eBucks which they failed to do. Over a period of 3 months I was sent from pillar to post when I enquired about the eBucks incentive.

When FNB saw my hellopeter post I was contacted by a different manager from another branch on the 19th of March. He informed me that the wrong account had been opened furthermore that in order to receive eBucks would have to switch to a different account, which I did. He advised that they will look into the R6000 worth of eBucks that I was promised and get back to me. He explained that it takes two months to receive eBucks. Thereafter he contacted me telephonically to inform me that there was never a package offering or promotion or account offering R6000 worth of eBucks and that instead FNB was offer R500 worth of eBucks as a goodwill gesture. He informed me that I could either accept or decline the offer, either way he would revert to his leadership and get back to me. I declined the offer because it was not even half of what was promised to me and it did not address the issue. I have waited over a week and he has not given me feedback or responded to my follow up email.

I am extremely unhappy with being mislead and the lack of care shown. I was questioned and made to feel as though I was attempting to de***** FNB.
