my Son & myself visited FNB branch in Greenstone branch 2 weeks ago. We spoke to Mary(sales manager) about our complaint. My son visited the branch to cancel a gym debit order that was deducted incorrectly last year. Same day a funeral debit was effected. No one called him to speak about this plan. He noticed that there was an amount that has been deducted ever since. He didn't bother about it thinking that I could have taken the funeral plan. Last week when we were checking transactions on his account, I noticed that there was a debit order going through his account. We then decided to visit the branch. A consultant asked us to phone the fnb funeral plan number, which we did, but couldn't get any joy from them. They told him that they will investigate then call him back.

They called him and said that the transaction was effected by greenstone and that he should go and see the sales manager Mary. I accompanied him, where we met Mary who was uninterested and very impatient with us, She told us to go back to the fnb funeral plan people, yet again. She didn't bother to try to assist us. A week went by and we went back to the branch. We were told that the manager was not in and no one will assist us. They gave us email adress of the Manager called r hlungwanw. He didn't bother to reply my email. I reminded him to deal with the issue to no avail.

He sent the following reply: Good day Trust this email finds you well and safe Sorry for not coming back to you as expected. The customer, account holder, was contacted regarding this complaint. Hope he will give you feedback from the call received when you engage him.

I wonder what happened to the service that FNB is offering to clients. It looks like they want to frustrate their clients in closing accounts. There is a user number for anyone who opens the account, I'm wondering why they are not bothered to assist or investigate this. My Son is still at school, he doesn't have any source of income. Anyone reading this, RUN AWAY FROM FNB GREENSTONE!!!!!!
