"Service"

Dear FNB i recently changed my password on the FNB website to a far more secure one. I was managed to log into the website multiple times yesterday and do transactions. However last night when i tried to log into the banking app on my phone. I entered in my new password which has a length or 30 or more characters. It would not let me log into the banking app until i was locked out of my account. I can assure you that the password i entered was NOT wrong.

So because now i am locked out of my account i decided to try and reset my password through the website. I entered in my Username, IDNo then i got sent to the second screen where i need to input one of my card numbers and the password for that card. Which i did failed 3 times for 1 card and failed an additional 2 times for another card. Now both of those card are deactivated. Neither of the pin numbers i placed on those cards were incorrect.

So now im telling you this and im hoping this can get to someone who works on the development of your systems. You guys accept 30 character passwords into the website. But you do NOT accept 30 character passwords into the login of the banking app. Hence why my login failed.

Im also fairly certain that your password recovery system does not work, when the account is blocked from wrong password entry 3 times. I mean i use these cards on a daily basis, and i agree its possible for me to forget one password every now and then. But not all three passwords for a service that a use on a day to day basis.

So this is where i am at now, i phoned this number ********** 000 to see if someone could help me reset my password, the lady one the phone guided me to the same forgot password process on the website i was on earlier. She informed me that i had ONE last try on my debit card and that my credit card had been deactivated. So i entered in my card number and pin number which was not wrong and now that card is also deactivated.

The lady on the phone also told me that it COULD be because the 'Security System' picked up suspicious activity on my account. If this is the case, why do i not receive any notification of this? How am i supposed to know my account has been blocked.

I am absolutely sick and tired of things going wrong with you guys now. If this doesn't get sorted out within 1 day, i will never bank with you guys ever again.
