I would like to close my cheque account with FNB. I visited the branch today 13.05.2023 and they told me that I had to pay the fee of (rounded off R73.00). I did not have cash on me enquired if I can do an EFT. They sed yes but they can't close it. So if that is the case every day you guys will bill me and I won't be able to close this account. I should not have to be going up and down to the branch to close this account. I will be taking this matter to the Ombudsman if you are are refusing to assist wit closing this account just so that you can incur extra charges from your customers. Customers should be able to cancel via telephone or email.

You cannot trick the clients in keeping the account by keep billing them when they request to cancel
