Security risk
I received a phone call from FNB business banking and was told that I need to supply proof of my business address or my account would be closed.
On questioning the lady and the gent involved (no managers work there btw) my account had a different name and address to what it should be. It had some how been changed from my home address in Durban area to Boksburg and my name had also changed. On questioning how this was possible I was just told I would have to go into a branch and prove my address or the account would be frozen or closed. Thus FNB making their security problem my problem. I was assured a manager would call me back by close of business on friday. This did not happen of course.
This is FNB problem as they have now compromised my account by inputting some one elses details. I would not be surprised if my account is being tampered with as I write this. Obviously FNB security is not worth anything if this can happen. I suggest all FNB users check if their accounts are being hacked or tampered with.
It is definately time for a change of banks to one that has better security or at least values me as a client.
Sad day for you FNB. Just another form of *******ion.
