A credit card my wife has on my account was charged for R2453 by an antivirus software company. Luckily FNB reversed the payment. But I asked their ***** department several times how this company or anyone else for that matter could’ve obtained this card’s details - card number, name, expiry date and CCV number on the back of the card. The actual card has never been used to purchase anything on the internet whatsoever on any website and has only been used once physically many many months ago and the card is still in our possession. The only way anyone could ever have obtained all the card details is of they hacked the FNB Card systems or an employee at the bank have all the information to the company. Otherwise it is impossible for them to have obtained this info all of which is only on the back of the metal card. The ***** consultant I spoke to refused to comment. This is of huge concerns as what about my refit and cheque card details???
