Sad day at FNB

I'm very disappointed to be writing another negative review of a primary Bank I'm using.

Today at about 13:15 I went to withdraw money from my bank account at one of the branches and was met with a rude behaviour from an employee. I entered the Bank alongside another customer, I joined the queue and waited along with other customers for an ATM. The employee at question shouted at me from the doorway asking if I came to withdraw money while I was waiting in the queue. Granted there was a vacant ATM for cash withdrawals then quickly remembered that I needed to make a cash deposit as well. So I continued to wait in the line until the ATM Advance machine was available. I proceeded to do my banking then latet confronted the employee before leaving. I asked her why she shouted at me and why she was so rude. She made silly excuses about being unable to approach customers as she was manning the door and the reception area. She even went on to blame the security guard for not doing his job! The security gaurd was not at fault as he (from my understanding) is there to safeguard the bank and customers from intruders. I asked her why she couldn't just apologize for shouting unnecessarily and being rude - to which she she still did not apologize. I left feeling extremely disheartened.

The staff reflects a Banks culture. Does FNB not train its staff in customer service? If the staff cannot excerize controlled behaviour what does it say about the company? Customer service is of primary importance for institutions such as Banks which we trust with our investments and monies.

I have always experienced good service from this branch, today was the first encounter of this kind. I'm both shocked and appalled.
