Rotten FNB service

I have been on the receiving end of poor service from FNB for while now. I wanted to downgrade my account from a private wealth account as I was not using my account to its full potential and had to pay R500 bank charges a month. The "private banker" could not provide me with basic information on which account would be suitable for me and advised me to look online. I chose the aspire account but soon realized it is not the right fit for me. My app shows that I am approved to upgrade to a private clients account. I have tried this on a few occasions. Each time I was told telephonically that someone would call me back. This never happened. Needless to say I still have an aspire account.

I recently decided to buy a smart watch from FNB. They had the price set at R589 per month for a year. The summary of the deal did not make sense to me. They had the phone at R489 per month with a sim fee of R99 per month for a prepaid simcard with 0 minutes 0 sms and 0 gig data. I complained about this on the app and was contacted by someone from FNB Connect. The matter was investigated and I was informed that it was a system error where the system spilt the cost which it wasn't suppose to. I was informed that the problem was resolved and I could log onto my app and make the purchase for R589 per month for the year. The complaint ticker was closed and regarded as dealt with.

When logging on I found that the watch was no longer available for purchase. I informed FNB of this in writing and received an email informing me they would investigate and get back to me within 24-48 hours.

Well 48 hours has now passed and I have received no feedback - not in writing nor telephonically. Why offer services if u can't meet the requirements, FNB?

FNB used to be the best bank ever leading the way with banking innovation. Their service was excellent. Was being the operative word. They have dropped the ball and their service nowadays is terrible.

Anyone out there with any suggestions on a better bank? Please advise. I do not plan on bearing the brunt of their overall lack of competence.
