****** of my money by FNB

I went to draw money at a Nedbank atm on the 2nd June at 6h00am. A security guard tried to intervene while I was doing the transaction not realising that he had swopped my bank card. He had shoved himself into the area while I was busy trying to draw money. Afterwards he dissappeared and I had a transaction of R2150 that went off on my phone. The atm had swallowed the card or the dummy card that the security guard had swopped. I had reported the ******* to the ***** division via telephone 30 minutes later. The card was stopped and the bank send me claim forms. I went into the bank to complete the claim form and submit this via the bank to claim the money back. FNB rep**** with a letter stating that they are not responsible for the claim and my money will not be repaid to me. After all the trauma I went through of losing all my money in my account at once and a bank that declines to pay you back due to someone else *****ing your money. I think this is VERY BAD SERVICE. So it gives the ****** a right over to go ahead and ***** like they want to. FNB says I gave my pin number to the ******, that is the last thing I will do. I have to go cancel the card at a FNB atm machine. Who in their right mind will be able to do this when such a thing happens. I had to go to my partner which lives around the corner to help me phone the ***** line to report the incident. What a lovely bank FNB is, thought they were so wonderful.

Reviewer Update

I received a message from FNB that my money will not be paid out to me.

'We regret to inform you that, unfortunately, the case has reached deadlock status and the claim remains refuted.'

So you as a tax paying citizen can be ****** and not be reimbursed for a ******* because my pin was 'shoulder surfed' and I didn't cancel my card timeously. The bank cna't even tell me where the withdrawal took place but they refuse the refund.

Well sir or madam, I was so traumatised at that moment, I had to get to my partner in less than 15 minutes to assist me to call and cancel my card.

You are a very hopeful bank, the way you advertise your products and service but can't even reimburse a client that gets ******.
