RMB Private Wealth Shocking Service
RMB Private Banking continues to amaze me with shocking service.
I've lost count on the number of "Private Wealth" managers I've had assigned to my account over the years, but the common denominator is that each is as *********** and full of empty promises as their predecessor...
My most recent interaction with RMB came following a complete and utter embarrassment in their service, with the bank having failed dismally to open a simple business transactional banking account as well as provide me with estate planning and fiduciary services.
Following the "intervention" meeting with Mr Graeme Barrett [a supposed Sales and Service Manager according to the title in his email footer], I have patiently waited in silence for two months. Our meeting on the 13th August 2021 had a simple set of objectives that I wanted clarity on, these were emailed directly to Graeme prior to the meeting and for the purpose of this ticket are listed below:
"1.) I would like to have a frank discussion to better understand how the bank views me in regards to income, banking history, products owned, risk etc. Specifically as it relates to: 1.1) Account tier / grouping within RMB clients. 1.2) Credit standing / credit report with RMB.
2.) As a salaried individual who is a 40% shareholder and director of a business I constantly have challenges with regards to qualifying for vehicle and asset finance, especially through RMB. In light of this I would like to discuss options, qualifying criteria & thresholds: 2.1) Monthly / annual income. 2.2) Dividend income. 2.3) Other / sundry income.
3.) I would like to do a top to bottom review of my current portfolio / products with RMB so that each of us can have an understanding on products held to view what needs work from both the bank and my part: 3.1) Current account. 3.2) Fusion credit account. 3.3) Global US$ account. 3.4) Money Maximiser. 3.5) Share Investor. 3.6) Tax Free shares.
4.) RMB value proposition: How and where I should see value that differs from what I would experience as a basic FNB "Aspire" account holder vs a "Private Wealth" account holder. [not the marketing and rewards bull$h&t]"
